January 11. 2018 in the building of the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations held the ceremony of awarding the President of the Korean Institute of Personnel Development Mr. Kim Yong Se, the status of an honorary adviser to the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

In the solemn ceremony, the first Deputy Minister of Employment and Labor Relations E. Mukhitdinov noted that one of the important areas of cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea is the implementation of projects related to the development of human resources.To date, the Korean and Uzbek sides are continuing to implement the signed Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Employment and Labor of the Republic of Korea on the sending of migrant workers to the Republic of Korea through an employment permit system.

The fruitful implementation of this Memorandum made it possible to employ from 2007 to the present time, almost 27 thousand citizens of Uzbekistan at the enterprises of Korea. Currently, about 17,000 Uzbek  citizens work in  Korea.

It should be noted that Uzbek citizens gain vast experience and skills, working on modern Korean enterprises. After returning to their homeland, they realize the potential and organize their own business, creating new jobs in Uzbekistan.

He also noted that, given the experience and practical skills in organizing labor migration, and also in order to interact with Korean employers to attract migrant workers from Uzbekistan, the President of the Korean Institute for Personnel Development, Mr. Kim Yong Se, was awarded the status of an honorary adviser to the Ministry of Employment and labor relations of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

This will ensure the achievement of an effective process of sending citizens of Uzbekistan to Korea through the Employment Allowance System and thereby strengthen existing friendly relations between countries through cooperation in the field of foreign labor migration.

In order to implement the Memorandum of Understanding between the Agency for Foreign Labor Migration under the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Korean Institute for Personnel Development, the parties decided to open in the first half of 2018 in Uzbekistan, the Center for the Training of Citizens of Uzbekistan Korean language for obtaining work permits on the basis of the transferable college of consumer services "Dalvarzin" in accordance with the Government Decision.

Mr. Kim Yong Seh visited this educational institution during his stay in Uzbekistan. As you know, the Korean side plans to equip the joint center being created with the necessary equipment and an increase in the number of trainees in 2018 and in subsequent years for 1000 people. In the future, it is planned to open language centers and in other regions of Uzbekistan.

In January 2018, planned to open  the representative office of the Agency for foreign labor migration in the city of Kwangju of the Republic of Korea .

The ceremony was held in a solemn and friendly atmosphere.
